What is Dietary Fibre?
Dietary fibre refers to the non‑digestible parts of plant foods that pass through the digestive system largely intact. It is typically grouped into soluble and insoluble fibre, each offering different functional and nutritional roles. Soluble fibre dissolves in water and can form viscous or gel‑like solutions, helping to support texture, stability and fibre enrichment in food and drink applications. Insoluble fibre does not dissolve and remains coarse and fibrous, adding bulk and supporting normal digestive function as part of a balanced diet. Together, these fibre types contribute to texture, structure and clean‑label formulation while helping manufacturers develop products with improved nutritional profiles.
We supply a wide range of innovative fibres, both soluble and insoluble, that are derived from a wide range of sources allowing for a diverse range of product applications.
